    SPIC State Nuclear Power Technology and Westinghouse Electric Corporation of the United States are working on negotiations with the Bulgarian government in respect of nuclear power project cooperation.

  • ·Maltese Energy Cooperation Projects

    SPIC Shanghai Electric Power participated in Maltese energy company restructuring and completed the transaction on December 31, 2014 to hold 33.3% stake in the energy company and control rights of 90% stake in Delimara 3 power plant which has installed capacity of 149 MW.

  • ·Turkey Hunutlu2×660 MW Coal-fired Power Plant

    SPIC Shanghai Electric Power, as a controlling party, intends to build 2×660 MW high-efficiency and low-emission coal-fired power generation units which are planned to be commenced for construction in 2016。

  • ·Pakistan Hubco 2×660 MW Coal-fired Power Plant Project

    SPIC China Power International, as a controlling party, intends to build 2×660 MW high-efficiency and low-emission coal-fired power generation units which are planned to be commended for construction in 2016 conditionally.

  • ·Invest Vietnam Vinh Tan 2×620 MW Coal-fired Power Plant BOT Project in Return for Holding Stock in the Project

    SPIC China Power International holds 40% stock in the project, and plans to build 2×620 MW high-efficiency and low-emission coal-fired power generation units which have been commenced for construction in June 2015.

Hydroelectric Projects
Upstream Ayeyawady River Basin Hydropower Project in Myanmar

SPIC overseas company serves as a controlling party to develop Myanmar-based hydroelectric project at upstream Ayeyawady River and the project plays a momentous role in China-Myanmar cooperation in the field of energy。 Seven cascade hydroelectric plants and 1 plant (Chibwe Nge) to supply power for construction have been under planning, including Myitsone and Chibwe, having a total installed capacity of 21,600 MW。

Cooperation Framework Agreement on Development of Hydroelectric Resources of Myanmar entered into by and between China and Myanmar in March 2009 expressly establishes that the two governments shall give supports to SPIC in development of Ayeyawady River project which has become a China-Myanmar strategic cooperation project. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was entered into by and between SPIC and Myanmar government in June 2009. Between 2008 and 2011, Chibwe Nge, Myitsone and Chibwe have been verified and approved by the two countries’ governments.

  • ·Chibwe Nge Dam

    Chibwe Nge Dam had its construction commenced in April 2008 and was turned out to be ready for power generation upon debugging and commissioning in September 2011; in April 2012, it was shut down and seriously damaged due to the turmoil happening in the northern Myanmar; in September 2013, it was put into use again after restoration, and has been commercialized and supplied power for the locals。

  • ·Myitsone Dam

    Myitsone Dam had its construction commenced in December 2009 and was suspended during the tenure of Myanmar President U Thein Sei who declared such suspension on September 30, 2011.

  • ·Chibwe Dam

    Chibwe Dam had its construction commenced in December 2010 and was halted by the unrest in the northern Myanmar and armed conflicts in Kachin State in April 2012.

Australia-based Pacific Hydro Projects

In January 2016, SPIC overseas company completed the transaction to acquire 100% stake in Australia-based Pacific Hydro which has assets across Australia, Chile and Brazil。 Pacific Hydro has the installed capacity of 900 MW and the planned installed capacity of 1,517 MW attributable to its reserved projects。 Following the transaction, SPIC has installed hydroelectric capacity of 43 MW in Australia and 492 MW in Chile, and turned itself to be the third largest hydroelectric plant operator in Chile, accounting for 8% of the Chilean hydroelectric market。

New Energy Investments
  • ·New Energy Project in Australia and Chile

    SPIC overseas company completed the transaction to acquire 100% projects of Australia-based Pacific Hydro and Taralga Wind Farm in January and June 2016。 SPIC has since become the second largest wind power supplier in Australia with a total installed wind power capacity of 414 MW。 Some wind farms, such as Australian Yaloak South Wind Farm, Chilean Punta Sierra Wind Farm and other wind farms with a total installed wind power capacity of 134。5 MW are currently undergoing development。

  • ·Japan New Energy Projects

    江苏快3SPIC Shanghai Electric Power intends to build 1000 MW photovoltaic and other new energy projects in Japan。 Such projects include: 2。4 MW photovoltaic project in Osaka Nanko and 4。8 MW photovoltaic project in Sanda Hyogo under service and steady operation; 30 MW photovoltaic project in Tsukuba-shi at construction stage, 76。5 MW photovoltaic project in Nishigō Fukushima and 48 MW photovoltaic project in Nasukarasuyama at construction approval stage。

SPIC Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute, State Nuclear Power Engineering, Shanghai Electric Power, Yunnan International Power Investment and other SPIC affiliated companies are provide contracting services for overseas power plants。 Twelve projects with a total installed capacity of 14,325 MW are in progress and the important ones are listed as below。

    Following execution of the project’s EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contract in July 2016, the project has been progressing well.

  • ·PAMPA 340 MW Coal-fired Power Plant EPC Project by SNPDRI Shandong Electric Power Engineering Consulting Institute

    Following execution of the project’s EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) contract in December 2014, the project has been progressing well.

  • ·Turkey Atlas 2×600 MW Ultra-supercritical Coal-fired Power Plant EPC Project by State Nuclear Power Engineering Company

    In August and December 2014, two sets of units have been examined and put into trial production, which have been accepted by Turkish government and under commercial operation。 These units are still covered by warranty and run steadily。

  • ·Malta DELIMARA 3 Power Plant EPC Project by SPIC Shanghai Electric Power

    Following execution of the project’s EPC contract in September 2015, the project has been progressing well。

Mining Investments

SPIC Mengdong Energy invests Thar coalfield Block 2 open-pit mining project in return for holding preferred stock in the project which has been commenced for construction in April 2016。

Life Cycle Services

SPIC State Nuclear Power Engineering Company, Shanghai Electric Power, Jiangxi Electric Power and other SPIC affiliated companies are conducting life cycle services abroad. There are five projects in progress and the important ones are listed as below:

  • ·Operation and Maintenance Project for Wassit Phase I 4×330 MW and PhaseⅡ2×610 MW Fuel (Gas) Units by Shanghai Electric Power

    Shanghai Electric Power began to conduct operation and maintenance services for Iraq-based Wassit phase I 4×330 MW and phase II 2×610 MW fuel (gas) units in October 2014 and April 2015 respectively. The units have been under normal operation and maintenance in the course of the contract.

  • ·Operation, Maintenance, Supervision and Instruction Project for Turkey Atlas Iskenderun 2×6,000 MW Coal-fired Power Plant by State Nuclear Power Engineering Company

    State Nuclear Power Engineering Company Turkey Atlas is performing the Phase III contract (from September 2016 to February 2017) of the project, and the project is progressing well。
